Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for an order placed on unchainedlab.net. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. How a purchase is split
Every purchase is divided into three parts at the time of payment:
- 50% — Production and operational costs. Spent when we place the production order with the manufacturer.
- 35% — Creator share. Held in an on-chain escrow contract at
0x7bebb25be0d4a0a1eaf14392404a24a29e61c42d(Ethereum) and released to the Creator after the Operator confirms delivery. - 15% — Platform fee. Paid to UnchainedLab to operate the Service.
Percentages may be adjusted to cover production or operational costs.
2. What is refundable
The 35% Creator share remains in escrow until delivery is confirmed and is therefore refundable in the following cases, provided the request is made within 30 days of the estimated delivery date:
- The product was never delivered to the shipping address.
- The product arrived damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered (wrong size, wrong design, wrong product type), and you cannot reach an acceptable resolution with the manufacturer.
- The order was cancelled by the Operator before production began.
3. What is not refundable
The 50% production cost and the 15% platform fee are not refundable. These represent funds that have already been spent — production funds are paid directly to the manufacturer to print and ship your product, and the platform fee covers the cost of operating the Service. This applies even where the 35% creator share is refunded.
The following are also not eligible for refund:
- Buyer's remorse, change of mind, or sizing errors made by the buyer (please double-check size charts before ordering).
- Failure to provide an accurate or deliverable shipping address. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the shipping address is correct at checkout.
- Delays caused by customs, the postal carrier, or force majeure events, where the product is ultimately delivered.
- Requests made more than 30 days after the estimated delivery date.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email support@unchainedlab.net within 30 days of the estimated delivery date and include:
- Your order ID.
- The transaction hash for the original payment.
- The buyer wallet address that placed the order.
- A clear description of the reason for the refund (non-delivery, damage, defect, wrong item).
- Where applicable, photographs of the received product and its packaging.
5. How refunds are processed
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 5 business days and resolve them within 30 days. If approved, the refundable portion (the 35% creator share) is released on-chain from the escrow contract directly to the original buyer wallet that paid for the order.
Refunds are paid in the same cryptocurrency originally used for the purchase. We are not responsible for fluctuations in exchange rate between purchase and refund — the refund is denominated in the token amount that was escrowed.
Network gas fees required to release the refund are deducted from the refunded amount where applicable.
6. Disputes
If you disagree with our refund decision, please first respond to the support thread to seek an informal resolution. Unresolved disputes are handled in accordance with the dispute-resolution clause of our Terms of Service.
